Program Overview

The Health Information Management/Medical Transcription Program at Seminole State College is a five to six semester Applied Technology Diploma/College Credit Certificate Program. Students can begin the 40-credit program any semester, because program pre-requisites are offered during all semesters. Note that certain courses are offered only once or twice a year, so plan accordingly (see Admission Application Procedures, #7.) Interested persons must first apply for admission to Seminole State before they are eligible to apply to the Medical Transcription program.
