Martine Rape, RHIA, CCS

Martine Rape graduated from UCF with a Bachelors' degrees in HIM and Biology. She began her HIM career as an emergency department coder at Princeton Hospital in Orlando. Martine also has extensive experience coding outpatient surgery and inpatient records.

Martine's next career move to Central Florida Regional Hospital was as a Coding Compliance Manager. In this position, she was responsible for the coding staff, coding quality reviews, reporting to the company and government, physician and coder education, and many coding related duties. Presently, Martine is an independent coding consultant for Independent Coding Experts.

Her philosophy on coding is that no type of artificial intelligence will ever truly be able to replace a well educated coder.
