Tess Creel holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education and a Master of Science degree in Mathemathics, both from Mississippi State University.

She taught for two years at a preparatory high school/junior high school in Jackson, Miss. Her collegiate teaching career started at Mississippi University for Women. She taught there for five years and at Mississippi State for one year before coming to Seminole State College.

Creels says, "I believe everyone can learn mathematics if they just open their minds. For as Winnie the Pooh says, 'You are stronger than you seem and smarter than you realize.' "

You can usually find Creel with a cup of coffee in her hand no matter the weather. She usually must have some music playing at all times. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and running. She has completed four marathons and one half-marathon to date.

She also enjoys watching SEC football, rooting for my Bulldogs. In the summer months she is usually close to the beach having fun with friends and family.
