University of Central Florida Students

University of Central Florida students can use their UCF ID Card to check out materials at any Seminole State College Library. Through a statewide arrangement, the UCF ID Card also may be used at any State University System of Florida or Florida College System library. Items may be checked out from one institution and returned to another.

Computer Usage

UCF students may use any of the public computers located in the library. Login cards are distributed during UCF's orientation sessions. They must be renewed each term at the UCF DirectConnect Office, which is located in suite 1100 of the Partnership Center. UCF-specific software (SPSS and DPA) is available only in the CTS Open Computer Lab in the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus Library (second floor).

Course Reserves

Some UCF instructors place materials on reserve behind the Information Services Desk at the Altamonte Springs and/or Sanford/Lake Mary campus. Most reserve materials are intended for library use only and are available in two-hour increments. (Loan times may differ for certain courses or material types, depending on faculty instructions.)

A college ID must be presented in order to access/borrow reserve materials.

Two UCF librarians work on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. While any librarian on staff can provide assistance to UCF students, the following are the most familiar with UCF's programs and services:

Printing and Copying

UCF students may purchase guest "print" cards at the Automatic Deposit Machines (ADMs) on any campus for use with Seminole State printers and photocopiers.

Returning UCF Books to Seminole State

As a convenience, materials borrowed from UCF campus libraries may be returned to any Seminole State College Library. A UCF courier picks up materials twice per week. Note: UCF materials are not considered to be returned until they are received and checked in by UCF Libraries. Overdue charges may apply for items not received at UCF by the due date.
