Library InstructionLibrary instruction sessions are geared as much as possible to support instructors' curriculum goals. Faculty members are encouraged to review the library's online Research Guides and LibGuides. The Research Guide provides basic information on a topic and is the source of library handouts. They may be printed from the Web page. The LibGuide is an interactive Web page with Research Guide information and more. Contact a librarian at the Information Services Desk to suggest content or Web changes that would make study guides more effective. Two weeks' advance notice is appreciated to have study guide or Web page information updated. Library instruction sessions are usually conducted in the library but can also be held in professors' classrooms. A minimum of one week's advance notice is desired when scheduling a librarian for classroom instruction, regardless of location. Walk-in classes are not permitted due to seating and staffing constraints. Professor attendance is requested at each session. Faculty members should submit a copy of their course syllabus and pertinent class assignments when requesting an instruction session.
