What Is "My Account?"

"My Account" is a LINCCWeb feature that allows you to view your library account information online, including materials checked out, requested items, and outstanding fines. My Account also offers the convenience of renewing items.

What Other Information Does My Account Provide?

You may view your name, address, and phone number that the library has on file; however, you may not change that information using the My Account service.

How Do I Access My Account?

After clicking the link to My Account, enter your four-digit personal identification number (PIN) and borrower ID to access My Account information.

How Will I Create a PIN?

Initially, your PIN will be the last four digits of your Social Security number.

Can I Change My PIN?

Yes; once your initial PIN is established, you may change it from within My Account. The information is immediately updated in the borrower database.

Why Are PINs Required for My Account but Not for Most other LINCCWeb Services?

Because of the sensitive nature of the information contained in My Account, a PIN is required as an additional means of security, along with your borrower ID. As other new LINCCWeb services are introduced that permit access to, or require the input of, personal information, PINs or other means of validation will be similarly required. You must also enter your PIN when requesting materials from the library.

Besides the Borrower ID and PIN, Does My Account Offer Additional Security Measures?

The College Center for Library Automation has implemented several features in My Account to help further protect your privacy. For example, My Account will time-out five minutes after login if there is no activity on the screen, and the program gives students periodic prompts to remind them to log-out when they are finished to protect their private information.
