Places to Study in the Library

The libraries at the Seminole State Campuses offer students a variety of areas for study and research, featuring group study rooms with white/chalkboards, as well as electric and wireless Internet access.

The Sanford/Lake Mary Campus has 290 tables, carrels, audio/video equipment, computers and lounge seating for students. The Oviedo Campus offers 80 seats, study tables with media data plugs and many of the same resources.

Students are welcome to bring their own laptops to the library. Designated areas for electrical access are available for desktop applications. Wi-Fi Internet connection is available at all Seminole State libraries, and laptop computers with wireless capability may be checked out at the circulation desks for use within the libraries.

Students are requested to keep conversation low in respect for those who prefer a quiet study environment. Cell phones are to be kept in silent or vibrate mode while in the library, and phone conversations are to be conducted outside of the library.

Eating in the library is not allowed. Liquid refreshments with secured lids may be used in areas of the library except where computers are located.
