Library Collections

Seminole State College's library resources include print, non-print and electronic media, and we offer an expansive collection of books and periodicals (magazines and journals), VHS tapes, DVDs, CDs and PlayAway books. Our electronic resources include periodical databases (indexed citations and full-text articles), e-Books, books on CD and audio books can be accessed via the Internet and can be downloaded from the LINCC online catalog.

Our collection includes more than:

  • 145,000 collection items as of June 20, 2008
  • 120,000 books on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus
  • 14,500 books and 160 media on the Oviedo Campus
  • 5,000 books on the Altamonte Springs Campus 
  • 1,000 books on the Heathrow Campus 
  • 4,500 pieces of audio/visual media (VHS, DVD, CD) on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus
  • 160 pieces of audio/visual media (VHS, DVD) on the Oviedo Campus

In addition:

  • 302 periodical subscriptions
  • 44 microform titles and 151,000 microform items with digital transfer capability
  •  90+ databases are accessible on campus and remotely
  • 15,000+ journal articles most of which are full-text, with information on the arts, sciences, humanities, current affairs, medicine, healthcare and more.

Resources at all locations are available upon request and can be delivered to the desired site within two days.
