Larsen's professional affiliations include the Florida Library Association, the Medical Library Association and its Mid-Atlantic Chapter, and the National Network of Libraries of Medicine Southeastern/Atlantic Region Disaster Planning Task Force (2006-2007). Larsen is a member of Beta Phi Mu International Library and Information Studies Honor Society. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri and a master's degree in library science from Florida State University. In 2005 she was the honored recipient of the John C. Rose Award, which recognizes outstanding service to the students and faculty of the GU School of Medicine. In 2006 she received the GU Faculty Senate Service Award, and in July 2009 she completed the 2009-10 Florida Sunshine State Library Leadership Institute program. Larsen has co-authored articles for Immunohematology, Journal of Nursing Scholarship and various academic newsletters. She also has contributed to several poster sessions, been invited to speak about research resources and taught personalized research classes. Contact Jeanne Larsen

Jeanne Larsen is a Reference and Instruction Librarian at the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. Before joining the Seminole State College Library faculty, she worked for the Georgetown University (GU) Medical Center Library, where she provided research, reference and instructional support to the School of Medicine, School of Nursing and Health Studies, Biomedical Graduate Research Organization, GU Hospital and other GU affiliates. She also has additional teaching, reference and public service experience in other academic and special libraries, including the Florida Atlantic University Library.
