Dorothy Mitchell-Danzy

Dorothy Mitchell-DanzyDorothy Mitchell-Danzy is the Campus Librarian at the Altamonte Springs Campus. She worked in the public service area of the Seminole County Public Library for six years before joining Seminole State in 2004 as a part-time Library Technical Assistant.

Mitchell-Danzy serves as the library's faculty representative to the Seminole State Faculty Senate. In 2006, she participated in a professional presentation of research analysis at the Joint Conference of Librarians of Color (JCLC), where she presented data gathered from Central Florida libraries about the perceived services provided to Hispanic patrons. Her research has since been cited by graduate students at UCLA.

Mitchell-Danzy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral and Social Science from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of South Florida. She is a member of Beta Phi Mu International Library and Information Studies Honor Society and served as the UCF Liaison Librarian from 2009-2011.
