PLA 2939 - Selected Studies in Law: Bankruptcy Law

Occasionally, the Legal Studies Department offers a unique elective course under the prefix "Selected Studies in Law." This fall, the department is pleased to offer this course with a focus on Bankruptcy Law.

Bankruptcy Law is a growing area of the law, which many students are interested in learning more about in light of recent changes to the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The course will cover the major bankruptcy chapters — 7, 11 and 13 — and will place particular emphasis on how the Code has changed with recent amendments.

Selected Studies in Law: Bankruptcy Law is an intermediate-level course that fulfills one of the two elective course requirements in the Legal Studies curriculum. It is being offered at a special time this fall — Tuesdays from 2-4:45 p.m. — with the hope of accommodating both day and evening students' schedules.

Selected Studies in Law: Bankruptcy Law has no prerequisites and does not serve as a prerequisite for any other courses. The class is expected to reach capacity quickly, so students are encouraged to register early.
