BUL 2241 - Business Law I

Business Law I is a required support course and has no prerequisites. It covers a wide range of legal topics, including the nature and sources of the law; the U.S. Constitution; business torts and crimes; contract law; business organizations; and agency law. The class is an excellent introductory law course and is a prerequisite for Legal Research and Writing I. Therefore, it is recommended that Legal Studies students take this course in their first semester in the program.

Business Law I is available every semester, in both classroom and online modes. This fall, Seminole State will offer two online sections and several classroom sections on the Sanford/Lake Mary and Altamonte Springs campuses. Classroom sections will be held:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9:30-10:45 a.m. (Sanford/Lake Mary Campus)
  • Wednesdays, from 6-8:45 p.m. (Sanford/Lake Mary Campus)
  • Tuesdays, from 6-8:45 p.m. (Altamonte Springs Campus)

In terms of demand, Business Law I falls between the beginner and intermediate levels.
