Faculty, Jordan F. Camenker After taking some time to travel, work and save, Camenker returned to UF's College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in 1983. While there, Camenker served as a constitutional law tutor, a student adviser, a member of the Council of Ten and senior editor of the Florida Law Review. He was also awarded a teaching fellowship for service as a legal research and writing instructor at the College of Law. After graduation, he entered private practice, continuing for 15 years, during which time he assumed positions of leadership on various bar committees. In 1997, Camenker acquired an interest in a high-technology firm and made the transition into e-commerce and consulting, at which time he also re-entered the field of teaching. Over the years, Camenker has lectured widely on a broad array of topics and has given a few commencement addresses. Whatever the subject, he is dedicated to making the learning process interesting - which he believes is half the battle. He is well-known among his students for his energy, enthusiasm and off-the-wall humor, as well as his frequent cups of coffee. Camenker began work as an adjunct faculty member at Seminole State in 2000. He joined the faculty as a full-time professor of legal studies in 2007. |
