Faculty Spotlight: Frank Albritton

Professor Albritton's international experience includes living in Europe for a total of 15 years. During this time, he was a lecturer in Europe for the University of Maryland from 1989-1995 and has worked/consulted with firms in industries such as retail, healthcare and manufacturing, including Daimler-Benz and BMW in Germany and Siemens in the U.S.

His professional interests include research on the impact of national culture on leadership, research on productivity, international travel, consulting, and promotion of international student exchange programs. During the summer of 2004, Professor Albritton conducted research during a sabbatical at the University of Cooperative Education in Stuttgart, Germany. He is a Salzburg Seminar Fellow, having attended "Community Colleges as Sites of Global Citizenship" in 2005 at the Salzburg Seminar in Salzburg, Austria. He is fluent in the German language.

His publications include a book comparing the health insurance markets of the United States and Germany, titled Health Insurance Reform in the United States: A Market Approach with Applications from the Federal Republic of Germany (University Press of America, 1993).
