Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)

Science StudentPhi Theta Kappa is an international scholastic honor society for two-year college students. It was founded in 1918 as a sister organization to Phi Beta Kappa, the scholastic honor society serving four-year institutions. Seminole State is host to the Pi Lambda chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. Pi Lambda stands for scholarship, leadership, fellowship and service. Membership is granted to those who meet specific criteria and demonstrate honor and service to others.

The Pi Lambda chapter is committed to leadership, academic integrity, volunteerism and general participation in the programs of the College and community. Inductees are people of academic accomplishment as well as high moral and ethical character. To be admitted to the Pi Lambda chapter of PTK, you must have a 3.5 GPA or higher for a minimum of 12 academic credits and be registered for at least six credit hours. Once inducted, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2.
