Federal Grants
The following resources can help you locate funding opportunities and other grant information. Please contact the Office of Grant Development and Management if you find a funding source that might be able to support your project.
- American Association of Community Colleges: The AACC website includes a list of funding opportunities for community colleges that is updated biweekly. It also includes a link to the Department of Education's website and provides federal funding forecasts as well as other information.
- Grants.gov: This website allows you to search for federal grant opportunities by subject area. It also provides a link to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance.
- The Grantsmanship Center: This site provides a quick link to daily Federal Register grant announcements as well as archived announcements. It also allows you to search top-ranked federal grant proposal abstracts.
- National Science Foundation: This website includes a list of NSF funding opportunities, general NSF grant information, guides to writing NSF proposals, and information and abstracts related to previous NSF grants.
Writing Grants
- The Foundation Center: This site offers a variety of guides and tutorials on topics such as grant seeking, foundations, researching funding sources, creating grant budgets and writing proposals. It also includes a Proposal Writing Short Course.
- Non-Profit Guides: Grant-Writing Tools: This website provides simple guides about creating a proposal, writing letters of inquiry and cover letters, and components of full proposals. It also provides sample proposals.
