Diplomas and Certificates

The Certifications Office will order diplomas and certificates following the graduation ceremony. Each graduate’s diploma/certificate will be mailed to the address specified on the graduate’s Diploma Application approximately eight weeks (excluding holidays) after graduation.

• Diplomas will have the graduate’s full name, degree, major or program, as well as departmental honors and academic distinctions (cum laude, magna cum laude and summa cum laude) as applicable.
• Certificates will have the graduate’s full name and program, as well as departmental honors and academic distinctions as applicable.

When completing the Diploma Application, students should enter the address to which the diploma/certificate should be mailed. Students should also verify that the permanent address listed in MySeminoleState is correct and will not change after graduation.

Note: A diploma/certificate cannot be released if the student has restrictions (e.g. transcript or test restrictions, fees or other financial obligations to Seminole State that have not been paid, or incomplete grades) on his or her record. It is the student's responsibility to resolve restrictions as quickly as possible.

Each graduate will receive a ceremonial diploma cover during the graduation ceremony. Diplomas/certificates are 8.5" x 11".
