Why did you choose Seminole State? I heard from friends it was a great school. Plus, for a non-traditional, older student, Seminole State was very affordable. How would you describe your educational experience at Seminole State? Fantastic! I was blessed to study under some great professors--including Dan Gilmartin, Marisabel Irizarry, Karen Feldman and David Greek. What are your post-Seminole State accomplishments? I was hired as a full-time reporter at The Sanford Herald, which happens to be the paper I interned for while attending Seminole State. How would you describe your "college" experience at Seminole State? It was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've ever had. I was 42 when I began taking classes and it made me feel like a kid again. I wish I could have stayed two more years! Seminole State's Sanford/Lake Mary Campus remains one of my favorite places in the Orlando area. What are your activities and hobbies? I play drums in a local blues band. I also like to read and watch movies and sports. How has your experience at Seminole State impacted your life? It made me better than I was before; much better! Seminole State changed my life forever by opening doors that were never previously opened to me. Would you recommend Seminole State to a potential student? Definitely! My girlfriend will be starting classes in Spring 2007. |
