| 1. Submit an Application for Admission |
You have several options for applying to Seminole State College: |
| 2. Verify your Residency Status |
Please download and print a Florida Residency Affidavit. The Florida Residency Affidavit is part of the application; it determines your eligibility for in-state tuition rates. Proper documentation must be completed and submitted before you can register for classes. The last day to submit this documentation is always the day before each term begins. This deadline is strictly observed. |
3. Create Your MySCC Student Account
|
Visit MySCC online and click "Create New Student Account" in the Login box. Fill in the blank fields, and click "Save." If you have questions, visit the MySCC Student Help page or call the MySCC help line at 407.708.2050. Please wait 48 hours after creating your MySCC account to view the online orientation. |
4. Complete a Financial Aid Form
|
If you have not applied for financial aid, do so immediately on the FAFSA Web site. Seminole State's six-digit FAFSA code is 001520. It typically takes four to six weeks to determine your eligibility. |
5. Provide Your Transcripts
|
Official transcripts from your high school and any colleges you have attended must be sent to the Seminole State Records Office:
Seminole State College Records Office 100 Weldon Boulevard Sanford, FL 32773
They must be received two months prior to your advising appointment to ensure that the Records Office has adequate time to evaluate them before you register for classes. |
| 6. View Seminole State's Online Orientation |
Orientation is mandatory for all transfer students. During orientation, you will learn about College policies and procedures as well as campus activities. Click here to complete the online orientation. For more information, call 407.708.2050.
You cannot view the online orientation until you have created your MySCC account.
|
7. Meet With an Adviser
|
After completing your online orientation, you will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment to meet with an academic adviser. The adviser will use your test scores and transcripts to determine if further testing is needed and to help you plan your course schedule. Please bring one of the following to your advising appointment: - Your evaluated, unofficial Seminole State transcript, accessible via MySCC.
- Your unofficial transcripts from any previous colleges you have attended.
Please note: Transcripts that have not been evaluated by Seminole State's Records Office will affect your class selection.
