General Requirements
To apply as a college-credit student, you must have a a high school diploma or a general education development (GED) diploma.
First-Time-in-College Students
Admission requirements will vary, based on the type of student category into which you fall:
- You must complete a college placement test (SAT, ACT or CPT) before enrolling.
Transfer Students
A transfer student is one that has attended a college or university before enrolling.
- The college or university you attended must be accredited by one of the regional accrediting associations.
- Credits earned are accepted if work is in an area and on a level normally included within the first two years of college, and you received a grade of "D" or better.
Transient Students
Transient students are "guest students." They take a course or courses at Seminole State that transfer back to their home college or university.
- You must be a student in good standing at your home school.
- Your enrollment ends after one semester.
- You must obtain a transient form from your home school.
International Students
International students have varying requirements. Please refer to our International Students Web page for more information.
Non-Degree-Seeking Students
Non-degree-seeking students take courses for career advancement or personal enrichment.
- You must meet the course's requirements before enrolling.
Post-Graduate Students
Post-graduate students have already earned a degree.
