| What is DirectConnect to UCF? |
In 2006, Seminole State and the University of Central Florida joined to offer DirectConnect to UCF Program to better serve Seminole State students. This is just one of the options available to students, so they can continue their education after Seminole State. DirectConnect to UCF provides guaranteed access to UCF*. All Seminole State students and alumni who obtain, or have previously obtained, an A.A. (or an A.S. degree from 2000 or later) qualify for the DirectConnect to UCF Program. * Consistent with university policy. Limited- and restricted-access programs may require an additional admission process. |
| How are Seminole State students identified as DirectConnect to UCF students? |
Simply check a box on your Seminole State admission application, indicating your intent to attend the University of Central Florida. Current Seminole State students can complete a DirectConnect to UCF agreement form with an Seminole State counselor or adviser. Check MySCC for the Joint Admission Indicator, JAD. If you do not have one, you will be required to complete this form. Seminole State Enrollment Services will generate a list of DirectConnect to UCF students and submit the list to UCF's Undergraduate Admissions Office each semester. |
| How are DirectConnect to UCF students contacted? |
Once 30 college credits are earned at Seminole State, students will be contacted via e-mail by the coordinator of the DirectConnect to UCF Program. |
| Who provides DirectConnect to UCF Advising? |
UCF Sanford/Lake Mary staff members will connect students with an appropriate adviser. This determination is based on each individual student's planned major and the number of college credits earned. This is done when DirectConnect students contact the UCF Sanford/Lake Mary office to make advising appointments after earning 30 college credits. |
