What we offer

What Is an Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree?

An Associate in Science (A.S.) degree prepares graduates for immediate entry into their chosen career field. According to state data, most Seminole State A.S. programs have placement rates above 95 percent.*

Additionally, A.S. graduates earn credits that can be applied to a bachelor's degree at Seminole State or at a university.

A.S. students who are planning to transfer to bachelor's degree programs should meet with a counselor, advisor or specialist to make sure the required courses are taken and the entry requirements are met.

Seminole State offers 26 Associate in Science (A.S.) degrees in the following career pathways:

The College also offers an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Automotive Technology. An A.A.S. is a career or technical-focused degree designed for students who want to enter a specific employment field. A.A.S. degrees are not designed to transfer to a four-year institution.
