Clubs and Activities Scholarships
Clubs and activities scholarships are awarded to students who are involved in extracurricular activities at Seminole State College.
Available Scholarships
Brain Bowl Scholarship
- Requires a 2.0 GPA
- Must be a member of the Brain Bowl Team
- Return application to: English Department
Dr. Burt H. Perinchief Scholarship in Choral Music
- Requires a 2.5 GPA
- Must be a resident of Seminole County and have graduated from a Seminole County public high school
- Must be seeking a Pre-Music Choral A.A. degree
- Application must include a letter of recommendation from a choral teacher, indicating the applicant's leadership ability
- Return application to: Seminole State's choral director
Hispanic Heritage Scholarship
- Requires a 3.0 GPA
- Must be an American citizen of Hispanic descent
- Must be an active member of Seminole State's Hispanic Student Association
- Application essay must revolve around the theme, "My Role as a Hispanic-American at Seminole State"
- Return application to: Hispanic Student Association
Leadership Challenge Team Scholarship
- Requires a 2.0 GPA
- Must be taking at least nine credit hours
- Must be a member of the Leadership Challenge Team
- Return application to: Seminole State's Student Activities coordinator
Phi Theta Kappa, Pi Lambda Service Scholarship
- Requires a 3.0 GPA
- Must have completed at least 50 hours of community service (80 percent completed with Phi Theta Kappa)
- Application essay must discuss what you have learned through community service
- Submit application to: Phi Theta Kappa coordinator
The Scribe Staff Scholarship
- Requires a 2.0 GPA
- Must be enrolled in JOU 1100 or JOU 1420L
- Must be a member of The Scribe newspaper staff
