Arts and Communication Department Scholarships
Music Scholarships
Dr. Burt H. Perinchief Scholarship in Choral Music
- Must have a 2.5 GPA or higher
- Must be a former graduate of a Seminole County high school, a current Seminole Country resident and enrolled at Seminole State as a full-time student in the Choral Music A.A. Degree Program or have been accepted for the next term as a full-time student in the program
- Must complete a standard choral audition, as defined by the Arts and Communication Department
- Must provide a letter of recommendation from your high school choral instructor, indicating your level of ability
Performance Instrumental
- Must be currently enrolled at Seminole State as a full- or part-time student
- Must have a desire to participate in any of Seminole State's performing music ensembles
- Must make an audition appointment and be prepared to present two contrasting musical pieces on your primary instrument (accompanist provided by request only)
Performance Choral
- Must be currently enrolled at Seminole State as a full- or part-time student
- Must have a desire to participate in any of Seminole State's performing music ensembles
- Must make an audition appointment and be prepared to present two contrasting vocal musical pieces (accompanist provided by request only)
Pre-Music A.A. (Choral)
- Must have an overall GPA of at least 2.5, as well as a 3.0 GPA or higher in music
- Must be currently enrolled at Seminole State as a full- or part-time student

Theatre Scholarships
Acting/Musical Major
- Must have an overall GPA of at least 2.5, as well a 3.0 GPA or higher in theatre
- Must be currently enrolled at Seminole State as a full- or part-time student
- Must make an audition appointment and be prepared to present a one to two-minute monologue to the theatre faculty
Technical Design/Stage Manager
- Must have an overall GPA of at least 2.5, as well as a 3.0 GPA or higher in theatre
- Must submit a portfolio for review or a discussion of your technical background and/or experience
- Must have an interview with the theatre faculty
Art Scholarships
Altrusa/Matthew Art Scholarship
- Must have an overall GPA of at least 2.0
- Must be currently enrolled at Seminole State as a full- or part-time student
- Must be an Arts and Communication student or a first-year student planning to study art
- Must provide a portfolio that demonstrates your excellence in art
Gloria DiMasi Endowed Art Scholarship
- Must have an overall GPA of at least 3.0
- Must have a demonstrated financial need
- Must be currently enrolled at Seminole State as a full-time student
Art Major A.A. Degree
- Must have an overall GPA of at least 2.5, as well as a 3.0 GPA or higher in art
- Must be currently enrolled at Seminole State as a full-time student
- Must submit a portfolio for review containing:
- Six works of art or slides
- A scholarship application that states your artistic goals
- A professional presentation
