General Scholarships

These scholarships are available to all Seminole State students. Please visit the Application Procedures page to begin the online application process.

Note: At the end of the online application, you will be given a list of recommended scholarships based on the information you provided. You may only apply for the scholarships included on this list.

Albert Leroy Brown Foundation Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.0 GPA
  • For any student seeking an A.A. or A.S. degree at Seminole State
  • Award Amount: $400 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees
Anna Fertic Foundation Endowed Scholarship
  • Requires a 3.0 GPA
  • Parents/guardians must have been a resident of Central Florida for over 35 years. Applicants must provide proof of residency.
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees
Armed Forces Communications and Electronic Association of Central Florida Scholarship
  • Requires a 3.0 GPA
  • Must be studying a field related to informational technology
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters; pays for books, tuition and fees
Ashley Nicole Strum Memorial Scholarship
  • Requires a 3.0 GPA
  • Preference given to softball players or students seeking an art degree
  • Must be a Seminole or Orange County resident
  • Award Amount: $750 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees
Bank of America Endowed Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • For any student seeking an A.A. or A.S. degree
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: Up to $750 for two semesters; pays for books, tuition and fees
Bernard A./Elva R. McGee Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • For any student seeking an A.A. or A.S. degree
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters; pays for books, tuition and fees
B.R. Chamberlain Foundation Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.0 GPA
  • Must be seeking an A.A. or A.S. degree
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees
Central Florida Fair Scholarship
  • Requires a 3.0 GPA
  • For students in the Science Merit Program or majoring in Agriculture
  • Must be a resident of Lake, Osceola or Brevard County
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees
Dianetta W. Alexander Life Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.0 GPA
  • Must be a Seminole County Resident and have graduated from Crooms, Seminole or Lake Mary High school, or the Seminole State GED or Adult High School programs
  • Must be a full-time student taking 15 credit hours
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters; pays for books, tuition and fees
Dr. Earl S. Weldon Memorial Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.8 GPA
  • Must be a Florida resident
  • Must provide proof of extracurricular activities
  • Award Amount: $750 for two semesters; pays for books, tuition and fees
Ethics in Business Scholarship
  • Requires a 3.0 GPA
  • Must be a Florida resident
  • Must provide documentation for community service
  • Award Amount: Up to $800 for two semesters
Executive Women International Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • Must prove to be socially, economically or physically disadvantaged. Preference given to single mothers or displaced homemakers
  • Must be a full time student
  • Award Amount: Up to $1,000 for two semesters
Gibson Truck World Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.8 GPA
  • Must be seeking an A.A. or A.S. degree
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees
Greater Agape Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.0 GPA
  • Must be a Seminole County resident
  • Must be a graduate of Crooms, Seminole or Lake Mary High School, or Seminole State's GED or Adult High School programs
  • Application essay must express the need for this award
  • Must be a full-time student taking at least 15 credit hours
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters; pays for books, tuition and fees
Jack Pantelias Scholarship
  • Requires a 3.2 GPA
  • Preference given to veterans or veteran dependents
  • Must be seeking an A.A. or A.S. degree and plan on moving on to a four-year university
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $600 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees
Jack Jennings Memorial Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • Must be seeking a degree in Construction Technology
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $375 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees
Jennifer L. Schott Disabilites Endowed Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.0 GPA
  • Applications must be submitted through the disabilities department
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees
Joseph C. Caldwell/Seminole County NAACP GED Scholarship
  • Must be a resident of Seminole County
  • Must have passed the GED exam
  • Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from the GED coordinator or a faculty/staff member of the GED program
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees
Joseph L. Reinhardt Memorial Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • Must be enrolled in a degree program of networking, computer sciences or information systems
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters
The Kimball Foundation Endowed Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.8 GPA
  • Preference given to African American students
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters
Kiwanis Club of Sanford/Earl Weldon Memorial Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.8 GPA
  • Must be a resident of Seminole County
  • Must be involved in community service
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters; pays for books, tuition and fees
Minority Students Scholarship
  • Requires a 3.0 GPA
  • Preference given to minority students
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $400 for two semesters, pays tuition and fees
Myrna L. Deal Memorial Endowed Scholarship
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA
  • Award Amount: $750 for two semesters; pays tuition and fees
NAWIC Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • Must be an Orange, Seminole, Lake or Osceola County High School graduate OR a member of NAWIC, AGC, or ABC. If a member of any of the previous organizations, must provide a letter from employer
  • Award Amount: $245 for two semesters; pays for tuition and fees
Rotary Club of Sanford Endowed Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • Preference given to Sanford residents
  • Must attend a Sanford Rotary Club meeting and speak to the members about what this award means to him/her and his/her future goals
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters; pays for tuition and fees
Rotary Club of Altamonte Springs/Forest City Memorial Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • Must be a Seminole County resident
  • Must have graduated from a Seminole County public high school in the top 25 percent of their class
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters
Rotary Club of Lake Mary Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.8 GPA
  • Must be a high school graduate, with an ACT score of 20 or an SAT score of 950.
  • A written essay must be provided as well as two letters of recommendation. There will be a mandatory visit to a Rotary Club of Lake Mary meeting.
  • Award Amount: $500 for one semester
Rotary Club of Sanford/Breakfast Club Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • For anyone who graduated Seminole High School, or attended and then received a GED
  • Award Amount: $375 for two semesters
Rotary Club of Winter Springs Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • Must be a graduate of Winter Springs or Oviedo High School
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters; pays for books, tuition and fees
Sally Sherman Community Service Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • Must be a graduate of Seminole High School
  • Must provide a record of community service hours
  • Award Amount: $250 for one semester
Sandra Glenn Memorial Scholarship
  • Requires a 3.0 GPA
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $500 for one semester; pays for tuition and fees
TEAM Information Technology Scholarship
  • Requires a 3.0 GPA
  • Must be seeking a career in technology; preference given to computer science
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $375 for two semesters, pays for tuition and fees
Thomas E. Whigham Memorial Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.0 GPA
  • Must be a graduate of Seminole High School
  • Must be a Seminole County resident
  • Preference given to minority students
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $600 for two semesters; pays for tuition and fees
Tracey Jenkins Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • Preference given to females or single mothers
  • Must be seeking an A.A. or A.S. degree
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters; pays for tuition and fees
Tracy Lynn Rupp Memorial Scholarship
  • Requires a 3.0 GPA
  • Preference given to females, students who have a lost sibling, students involved in athletic programs, and/or students planning to finish their degree at Florida State University
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters; pays for tuition and fees
University Club of Orlando
  • Requires a 3.2 GPA
  • Must be a resident of Seminole, Orange or Osceola County, and be a graduate of a high school of that count.
  • This scholarship is renewable if satisfactory progress is made toward a four-year degree
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters; pays for books, tuition and fees
Wayne W. Walker Memorial Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • For students seeking a nontraditional role for their gender
  • Award Amount: $750 for two semesters; pays for tuition and fees
William Schaffner Memorial Scholarship
  • Requires a 2.5 GPA
  • Must be a Seminole County resident and have graduated from a Seminole County public high school
  • Must provide documentation proving community service
  • Award Amount: Up to $1,000 for two semesters; pays for books, tuition and fees
Women's Club of Sanford
  • Requires a 2.8 GPA
  • Must submit three letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors or administrators
  • Award Amount: $500 for two semesters; pays for books, tuition and fees
