Presidents' Club Advisory CouncilFoundation Board UpdatePresidents' Club BackgroundSince 1965, Seminole State College has had only two Presidents, Dr. Earl S. Weldon and Dr. E. Ann McGee. Given Dr. Weldon's distinguished legacy of more than 30 years of service and Dr. McGee's guidance since 1996, the Presidents' Club serves as a timely tribute to their leadership. The Presidents’ Club was created to strengthen and support Seminole State College. Comprised of alumni, employees and community partners, the Presidents' Club is a great way to support current students while providing an opportunity to network with this distinct group of friends of the College. Presidents' Club PurposeThe Presidents' Club consists of individual and corporate donors who contribute a minimum annual unrestricted gift of $1,000. These gifts are applied at the discretion of the College President and the SCC Foundation Board of Directors to the areas of greatest need at the College. Advisory Council PurposeAt the suggestion of the Foundation's Board of Directors, the Presidents’ Club Advisory Council was designed to bring together leaders from Seminole County and Central Florida who represent a variety of industries, corporations and interests, and who demonstrate a commitment to education and Seminole State College. The Advisory Council allows the Foundation and the College to engage a larger percentage of Presidents’ Club members, as well as identify new leadership for the Foundation Board of Directors. The Presidents’ Club Advisory Council strives to expand Presidents' Club memberships, improve social and networking events, and further develop membership benefits. The Advisory Council also oversees the selection of faculty and staff Mini-Grant Award recipients, which are allocated once or twice per year. Advisory Council Leadership
