Seminole State President Dr. E. Ann McGee welcomes guests to the 26th annual Dream Gala on Feb. 20, 2010.
The Foundation for Seminole State College will present one of the region's largest fundraisers, the 28th annual Dream Gala, on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Orlando Marriott Lake Mary.
The black-tie event will feature a formal dinner, live and silent auctions and a raffle. Entertainment will be provided by Flamingo Express, a group that combines audience participation, original choreography and costuming, and various genres of music to create a unique, interactive guest experience.
This year, the Foundation will raffle off a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, donated by the Central Florida Auto Dealers Association, Inc. Raffle tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through the Foundation. Prices for raffle tickets are $100 for individual tickets and $500 for a pack of six. You can win even if you don’t attend the gala.
During the live auction, guests can bid on luxury vacations, fine-dining packages and tickets to major sporting events. Silent auction items include exclusive golf outings, weekend getaways, electronics, wine tastings and more.
The Dream Gala will begin at 5:30 p.m. with registration and a reception. Dinner and entertainment will follow at 7 p.m.
All proceeds will benefit Seminole State student scholarships, faculty programs and the College’s areas of greatest need. Last year’s event grossed more than $275,000, a record.
