Foundation Mini-Grants

The Foundation Board of Directors is now accepting applications for its annual Mini-Grant Program, designed to provide faculty and staff with financial support for projects not funded through their regular annual budgets.

During the 2009-10 academic year, the Foundation will award grants twice -- $20,000 in the fall and an additional $20,000 in the spring.

The Fall 2009 application deadline is Friday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m. Submissions must include all appropriate signatures, plus five copies of the original proposal.

All full-time faculty and staff are eligible to apply. To be considered, the scope of the request must support the mission of the College and directly impact Seminole State students.

The first set of Mini-Grants will be awarded in mid-December for the period Jan. 1-Sept. 30, 2010. These funds must be expended or encumbered by Sept. 30.

The submission process for Spring 2010 Mini-Grants will begin in April.

Mini-Grants are sponsored by Presidents' Club donations. A committee of Presidents' Club Advisory Council members choose the grant recipients, allocating up to $2,000 for each proposal. The committee's goal is to award as many grants as possible to eligible employees.
