Awards and Recognition

Career Service Excellence Award

The Career Service Excellence Awards honor Seminole State staff members who have continuously exceeded expectations and shown the utmost dedication to their positions at the College. This monetary award recognizes exemplary job performance as well as leadership abilities, interpersonal relationships and overall contributions to the College.

Nominations are accepted each fall, and candidates are reviewed by a College selection committee, which submits a list of finalists to the Foundation Board of Directors for consideration.

Eligibility

For an employee to qualify for a Career Service Excellence Award, he or she must have worked in Career Service at Seminole State for at least five years, including at least the past three years as a full-time employee.

Employees who received a Career Service Excellence Award within the past five years are not eligible to receive an award. However, it is strongly encouraged to re-nominate employees who were nominated but did not receive an award, or who received an award more than five years ago. Pay for Performance recipients remain eligible for the Career Service Excellence Awards.
