Michael Hoening (A.S., EMT), Fire Science Program Manager

Michael Hoening is one of the founding members of the Seminole State Fire Training Program. He has been instructing for more than 23 years and served as a firefighter for more than 25 years. Hoening is a retired division chief with the City of Sanford Fire Department and is involved in a variety of fire science committees and organizations.

Michael Aiken (A.S., EMT), Fire Standards Lead Professor (Day Class)

Michael Aiken is deputy chief of the City of Orlando Fire Department, with 19 years of firefighter service under his belt. He has been an instructor for 15 years and is involved in a variety of fire science committees and organizations.

Billy Dover (B.S., EMT-P), Fire Science Professor

Billy Dover has been a firefighter/paramedic for more than 20 years and has been teaching in the Fire Inspection Program for more than 10 years. He is a lieutenant with the Reedy Creek Fire Department and serves on various fire safety committees across the country.

Robert McGraw (A.S., EMT-P), Professor EMS

Robert McGraw has been a paramedic for more than a decade and has taught for the past eight years. He is an instructor/trainer through the American Heart Association and is involved in many EMS committees.

Lertrina Scott and Karen Hillsman

Senior Staff Assistants Lertrina Scott and Karen Hillsman help students with any questions regarding the Fire Science program.
