Financial Aid: MyMoney

Standards of Progress Appeals: Approved

If you have submitted a Standards of Progress appeal and your appeal is approved, you should be aware of the steps you must take to assure that you continue on the right path. If after reviewing your appeal, the Seminole State Financial Aid Office has determined that you have been approved to continue receiving financial aid funds for one term immediately after the term for which you are appealing, you will be on Financial Aid Probation until you regain good academic standing.

You may remain on Financial Aid Probation and continue to receive financial aid if all of the following conditions are met at the end of each term:

  • All of the classes you take during your probationary period are required for your program of study
  • You have completed 100 percent of the classes you take during this probationary period
  • You have a minimum 2.5 GPA for the probationary term (not cumulative).

Your Standards of Progress will be checked at the end of the probationary term. If all three of these conditions have been met, you will remain on Financial Aid Probation and will not have to re-appeal. However, if any one of these conditions is not met, you will be placed on Financial Aid Cancellation and will be unable to receive financial aid.

Seminole State College is concerned about our students’ success, and we offer many resources, including academic counseling and tutoring, to assist you in regaining good academic standing.
