Online Tutoring Through Smarthinking

Smarthinking is an online tutoring service available 24 hours a day to all Seminole State students. This resource allows students to find tutoring services and study materials for a variety of subjects, including some for which tutoring might not be available on campus. Students also may use this service to get feedback and constructive criticism for essay drafts and other written assignments.

The website is a convenient resource, especially for students taking online courses and for students who are unable to come to a campus for academic help.

Access Smarthinking

Smarthinking is accessible through Sakai to students enrolled in at least one class during the current semester. The class does not need to be Sakai-based. Accessing Smarthinking is easy:

• Log in to your Sakai account.
• Smarthinking is now integrated with Sakai, so you do not need to log in separately once you access your course. If your class is using Smarthinking, you will see it in the list of tools on the left hand navigation menu within your class.
• If you are taking a class that does not use Sakai, or if your instructor has not activated the Smarthinking tool in your class site and you would like to use the service, please email elearning@seminolestate.edu to request access and we will add you to a Smarthinking access site in Sakai. You must be officially registered for at least one class this term in order to be given access to Smarthinking.
