eLearning Staff

Joni Miller

Joni Miller, instructional technology specialist, joined the Seminole State eLearning staff in February 2004. Her responsibilities include providing support, assistance and training for faculty members in the development of online instructional materials; reviewing new and current courses for usability and quality assurance; providing Sakai support to faculty and students; responding to HelpDesk inquiries regarding distance learning; and assisting with the maintenance and development of Seminole State's distance learning website. She also serves as one of the College's Sakai administrators. She is a Quality Matters-certified trainer and an institutional representative for the national Quality Matters Program.

Miller earned her master's degree in technical writing from the University of Central Florida in December 2007, and a graduate certificate in eLearning in May 2010. She has a strong background in faculty support, online course development and Web design.

Amy Stuart

Amy Stuart joined the eLearning staff as an instructional technology specialist in September 2010. Her responsibilities include providing Sakai support for faculty and students; responding to HelpDesk inquiries regarding distance learning; providing quality assurance for new and existing online courses; and training and supporting faculty in the development of new instructional materials.

Before coming to Seminole State College, Stuart spent five years working in the online department of the largest print media provider in Arizona, where she served as a project manager and Web developer. She also spent two years working as an online course technical assistant in Seminole State's Distance Learning Department before assuming her role as an instructional technology specialist.

Stuart's greatest strengths lie in Web development, design, user accessibility and problem solving. She graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in industrial technology in August 2002.

Margaret Taylor

Margaret Taylor, Seminole State's distance learning support specialist, joined the eLearning staff in September 2008. She has more than 15 years of experience in customer service and seven years of experience in information technologies.

Taylor is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Data Communication System Technology from ITT Technical Institute. Her areas of expertise include troubleshooting software and hardware issues, data backup and recovery, and in-home wireless installation.
