The preferred style of documentation for Economics Research at Seminole State is Chicago Turabian

Footnotes should be placed on the bottom of the page on papers longer than three pages long, or in endnotes in shorter papers.

What should be footnoted?

1. Every quotation
2. Facts drawn from the work of others such as notes, numbers, relatively unknown events.
3. Opinions of others. Example, "The queen was considered foolish, selfish, and vain."
4. Comments by the author. "Opinions vary as to the numbers dying because of lack of medical care. Henry says 20,000, Brown says 50,000. I believe 30,000 is a reasonable estimate."
