Sakai Login Information

  • You must have a valid login ID and password to enter Sakai.
  • You will not be able to log into the course until the first day of classes.
  • If you register during the add-drop period, there may be a slight delay (one to two business days) in the activation of your ID and password; however, you should be granted access to the course by the end of add-drop. If you are still unable to login to Sakai after add-drop, fill out our online Sakai Problem Form and the DL staff will check on your account.
Sakai ID

Your login ID for Sakai is the same ID that you created to use MySeminoleState; however, all Sakai IDs are case=sensitive and must be entered using lowercase alphanumeric characters.

If you registered for classes in person on campus and have not yet created a MySeminoleState account, you must visit MySeminoleState and create an account. For students to have access to Sakai, they must have a MySeminoleState user name in the system. The Sakai database for login IDs and passwords is generated based on students' MySeminoleState accounts.

Sakai Password

Your password is auto-generated and is reset to the default every semester. Your password is your first and last initial, followed by the six digits of your birth date in "yymmdd" format, where "yy" represents your two-digit birth year (do not use "19" in the "yy" format); "mm" represents your two-digit birth month (Jan.-Sept. months must use a leading "0"); "dd" represents your two-digit birth day (1-9 must use a leading 0; ex. 01, 02, 03...etc.). Ensure that there are no spaces between the items and that the letters are UPPERCASE.

Example: If your name is John Doe and you were born on March 1, 1977, your password would be "JD770301."
