![]() Accreditation for DL CoursesPlease take a moment to review the "Principles of Good Practice" published electronically by the Southern Regional Electronic Campus (SREC) and developed by the Southern Regional Educational Board (SREB). All distance learning courses at Seminole State should follow these guidelines. In addition, all online courses at Seminole State must undergo an internal Quality Matters Course Review. Seminole State became a subscriber to the Quality Matters (QM) organization in 2008 and is in the process of using the QM rubric to review all of distance learning courses. This comprehensive review process assures that Seminole State meets all of the documentation and quality standards for DL courses required by SACS to maintain college accreditation. The completion of a successful QM course review is a new requirement for all courses to be offered online at Seminole State. All faculty teaching online are also required to complete the "Applying the QM Rubric" workshop and the Sakai(Seminole State's course management system) workshop.
