Seminole State's Criminal Justice Technology A.S. Degree provides the knowledge, skills and experience you need to become a criminal justice officer. The A.S. degree program:

• Provides basic recruit training for those entering the criminal justice fields.
• Helps current criminal justice employees stay up to date with skills and technology.
• Provides credits toward a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
• Prepares students for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) exam. Students cannot be employed as a criminal justice officer in Florida unless they pass this exam.

How Do I Earn a Criminal Justice Technology A.S. Degree?

To earn the degree, you must complete the curriculum. Earning the degree does not mean you can work as an officer in Florida. You must be certified by the state. To be certified, you must pass the FDLE Exam.
