Terrell Hendrix, Program Manager/ProfessorTerrell Hendrix joined Seminole State's Criminal Justice Institute faculty in 2009, following nearly 40 years of service in public safety. He entered the field in 1971, serving as a part-time dispatcher while attending the University of Central Florida. In 1973, he embarked on a long-term law enforcement career with the Altamonte Springs Police Department, where he remained until his retirement in 2007. During his tenure with the ASPD, Hendrix served in several capacities, including patrol officer, detective, patrol sergeant, traffic sergeant, training coordinator, patrol lieutenant, internal affairs investigator and staff inspector. In 1976, he became a charter member of Seminole County's first SWAT team. A firearms instructor since 1978, Hendrix brings a proven commitment to law enforcement training to Seminole State. In addition to firearms, he teaches courses in general and legal topics. Hendrix has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration from Webster University. He is a graduate of the 86th Administrative Officer's Course at the University of Louisville's Southern Police Institute. |
