This program prepares students to meet certification requirements for an unarmed Private Security Officer, an occupation that requires licensing in accordance with Florida Statute Chapter 493. The curriculum focuses on broad transferable skills, stresses understanding of all aspects of the private security industry including Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code, patrol techniques, first aid, crime and accident scene protection, legal issues and liability as well as other areas.
