The purpose of the Law Enforcement/Corrections Officer Articulation Agreement is to provide graduates of Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC)-certified training academies with college-level course credit, which can be applied toward an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Criminal Justice Technology at Seminole State College.

The agreement applies only to students who completed the Law Enforcement Academy or Corrections Officer Academy after 1997.

Student Procedures

Students who wish to receive credit for completion of either the Law Enforcement Academy or the Corrections Officer Academy must submit their Certificate of Completion to the Criminal Justice program manager for review and verification. Students must also complete a Request for Credit Transfer Form, which can be obtained from the Criminal Justice Institute in person or online. The Criminal Justice program manager must submit this form to the Registrar's Office before credit can be posted to a student's transcript.
