CPEC

Meeting Minutes

1:30-4 p.m., Room C-110A

Call to Order: At 1:41 p.m. by Linda Cowels.

Finances in treasury include $127.73.

The Welcome Back picnic is to be held on August 15, 2008.

FACC has donated a bike to CPEC for the Health Fitness Seminar (TBD).

"STAR Professional" is for those who have obtained degrees. This medium can be used for promotions. Permission slips were given out to attendees and will also be posted on the website.

Discussions of the CPEC Professional Employee of the Month:
  • Seminole State employee for 18 months
  • Chosen for once a year
  • Suggestion: check with other schools to see their criteria of selections
  • You may nominate yourself
  • Supervisor is notified
  • Certificate is given
  • Dr. McGee to meet, greet and have lunch with the CPEC Professional Employee of the Month

The CPEC slogan for the 2008-09 year is "In Pursuit of Excellence, One Step at a Time". The slogan was submitted by Catherine Wilkins. Tonya Bryant nominated slogan for approval and the motion was second by Beth Burpee. The slogan was approved by all.

Praise Report: Mr. Earnesto Maldonaldo worked with the Commissioner of the Long Branch Housing Authority of New Jersey, former President Democratic Hispanic Caucus of Seminole County, and is now presently Vice-Chair of the Commissioner of City of Sanford Housing Authority.

Much thanks to Bill Fowler, Manager of Training and Development/Human Resources for the Online Training Presentation of the Learning Connection available to all administration and staff.

Door prizes were given.
