University Transfer Information

It is important to choose a major early in your college career to have ample time to complete your prerequisite course work and meet any additional requirements.

After declaring a major, you are encouraged to meet with an educational advisor to complete an educational plan. Your educational plan will identify the prerequisite course requirements for your program of study and outline a sequence for completing them. If you change your major, you should contact an advisor immediately to obtain an updated plan.

DirectConnect to UCF

Students who complete an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree at Seminole State are guaranteed admission to the University of Central Florida, consistent with university policy, through the DirectConnect to UCF Program. Limited- and restricted-access programs may require an additional admissions process. Students who have been previously disqualified from UCF are not eligible.

Other Colleges/Universities

Early in your college career, you are encouraged to contact the college or university in which you plan to transfer to to learn about the requirements for the major you plan to pursue. Requirements may include, but are not limited to: specific courses, GPA, limited access and foreign language. Some programs also require you to submit an additional application 6-12 months before enrolling.
