The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects the privacy of student records. As a consequence of FERPA, any information requested that would require an advisor to use a student's social security number to access that information cannot be handled over the Internet. The student will need to come in person to the Counseling Office for assistance.
