This vocational certificate program is designed to provide students the fundamental aspects of the electrical trade. The curriculum consists of classroom and lab study and focuses on an introduction to the trade, electrical trade safety, electrical math concepts, residential wiring, commercial wiring, industrial wiring concepts and applications.
Candidates must:
- Apply and be accepted to Seminole State College;
- Be at least 18 years of age;
- Pay required lab fee(s);
- Have official high school or GED transcripts on file at Seminole State or complete the Form 9, Level D TABE test or equivalent TABE test.
Only students who do not have official high school or GED transcripts on file at Seminole State must take the TABE test and score the following minimum scores to complete the program and receive their certificates:
- Reading: 570
- Language: 568
- Math: 579

- Departmental consent is not required to register for this program.
