Staff Credential/RenewalEach applicant will be asked to send a Birth Through Five or School-Age Child Care Credential Renewal application plus copies of all required supporting documentation to the Department of Children and Families (DCF) in Tallahassee. DCF will review all applications and supporting documentation necessary to issue a renewal certification. Applicants should allow two to four weeks for processing. Please verify with the Early Childhood Education Department which college-credit courses may be applied toward your National CDA renewal. Vocational courses may not be applied toward renewal. National CDA Renewal Requirements Candidates hoping to renew their National CDA Council certificates must:
National CDA Council credentials must be renewed in three years from date of issue. After the initial renewal, credentials must be renewed every five years. Note: The renewal fee is $50.
