Ninth Annual Early Learning Conference
- When: Friday, Feb. 22, 6:30-8:30 p.m. (check-in at 6 p.m.) and Saturday, Feb. 23, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (check-in at 7 a.m.).
- Registration: Registration will be available online to all Central Florida Childcare Providers beginning Tuesday, Nov. 13. The registration fee is $30 per participant until Dec. 31 and $35 per participant after that. Registration includes both Friday and Saturday sessions.
- Theme: "Hand in Hand: Learning Together"
Featured Speakers
- Anna Moo is an award-winning songwriter of music for children. She is also a mother, a teacher and a bilingual (English/Spanish) keynote speaker. Moo integrates music and song into life lessons, sharing personal experiences and stories to help and empower others.
- Lisa Murphy, "The Ooey Gooey Lady," is an early childhood specialist and author, and the founder and CEO of Ooey Gooey, Inc. She is dedicated to the creation of child-centered, hands-on, play-based environments for young children, and she uses hands-on activities, humor and real-life anecdotes to engage her audience.
- Larry Griffin is an award-winning educator, national trainer and assessment specialist with a B.A. in early childhood and elementary education. He also holds a master's degree in education administration with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction.
- Gretchen Kinnell is the senior professional development specialist at Child Care Solutions in Syracuse, N.Y., and an instructor in child development at Onondaga Community College. She is the author of the following books on toddler issues: "No Biting: Policy and Practice for Toddler Programs" and "Good Going: Successful Potty Training for Children in Child Care."
