Childcare: Important Registration Information

To ensure you have all the information and paperwork to enroll in the early childhood education program of your choice, carefully review the information below and follow the steps listed to ensure the successful completion of your selected program.

A.S. Degree

  1. Visit a college credit counselor to begin one of our A.S. degree programs: Child Development or Early Childhood Management.
  2. You must complete the admissions process prior to contacting a counselor.
  3. For information on early childhood courses or any additional programs, contact the Early Childhood Education Department.

College Credit CDA (On-Site and Online Programs)

  1. Review the CDA Program description. 
  2. All CDA students must call and arrange an appointment with the Early Childhood Development Department to complete an enrollment application.

Online National CDA Program

  1. Review the the Online National Vocational CDA Program description.
  2. All CDA students must attend at least one orientation for the Online CDA Program and complete an enrollment application.

Director Credential

  1. Review the Director Credential Web page.
  2. Seminole State provides the coursework for students; the credential is issued by the U.S. Department of Children and Families.

Educational and Employment Verification (CDA Waiver)

  1. Review the CDA Waiver.
  2. Seminole State provides the coursework for students; the credential is issued by the U.S. Department of Children and Families.

National CDA Renewal

  1. Review the information on CDA renewal.
  2. Seminole State provides the coursework for students; the renewal is issued by the National CDA Council.
