Nana Robertson, Program Manager

Nana Robertson is the Program Manager for the Early Childhood Department at Seminole State. She holds a Master of Science degree in Preschool Education and is currently working on her doctorate in Higher Education with special emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Nova Southeastern University.

Robertson has 30 years of experience in early childhood settings, including preschool teacher, childcare center director and a supervisor of 50 childcare centers located throughout the Southeast United States. Nana has served as a Child Development Associate Representative from the National Council in Washington D.C. and for the past 10 years as a CDA advisor for Seminole State students.

Regina M. Fontana (Full-time Faculty)

Dr. Gina Fontana serves as full-time faculty. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Rollins College in Anthropology and Sociology, a Master of Science from Nova Southeastern University in Administration and Management and an Ed.D. from Nova Southeastern University in Organizational Leadership. Dr. Fontana has 20 years of experience in the educational field, ranging from birth to middle school. Thirteen of those years are with experience as a director/owner/operator.

Dianne Waller

Dianne Waller is the Grant Coordinator for the Early Learning Coalition of Seminole and also serves as an adjunct professor at Seminole State. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from University of Maryland, a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education from University of Central Florida and an Early Childhood Education diploma from London Montessori Center.

Waller has over 20 years of experience as a teacher in both early childhood and elementary schools. She also opened centers and served as director in early childhood programs in both Saudi Arabia and California. Waller serves as accreditation validator for Association of Christian Schools International, presents at their annual conferences and has been published in Christian Early Education magazine.

Adjunct Professors

Gretchen McCallister

Gretchen McCallister has a master's degree in Elementary Education from UCF. She also has 20 years of experience in teaching, ranging from preschool to community college. McCallister teaches both college-credit and CDA courses at Seminole State.

Jean DeWitt

Jean DeWitt holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Vocational Family and Consumer Sciences from Iowa State University and a master's degree in Education from Cambridge College in Boston. She teaches Early Childhood Education, an education course allowing upper-level students to operate a preschool, full time at Lake Howell High School.

DeWitt is a national board-certified teacher and helps with Seminole State's 4-C certification classes. She serves on several countywide committees and is active in mentoring new teachers on her campus.

DeWitt also represented our area at the U.S. Naval Academy's National Teacher Seminar last year.

Diane T. Doyle

Diane Doyle holds a Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University in New York and a Master of Art degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Florida. She has taught the Child Development Associate classes at Seminole State since 1998 and has been a CDA advisor for many of Seminole State's candidates.

Doyle teaches in the A.S. Degree Program as an adjunct professor and at the Rollins College Child Development Center with children and undergraduate students in the Psychology Department.

Recently, she presented at the conference for the National Coalition for Campus Children's Centers in Washington D.C. and at the Good Neighbor Conference at Rollins College.
