Director Credential Home PageWho is required to have the credential?Legislation passed in Florida during the 1999 legislative session requires all childcare and education program directors and administrators to have the Florida Director Credential as part of the minimum licensing standards for all childcare centers. The credential will be required for directors/administrators of childcare centers. For the purpose of the credential, the term "administrator" is used to describe the role of the primary person responsible for the day-to-day operation, supervision and administration of the center. Seminole State is the only facility providing this training for center directors in Seminole County. We also allow directors and future directors to take the credential courses while obtaining their CDA or course requirements for Form 5211. Please see the course schedule for course offerings.
