Part I

• HEV 0010 - Online National CDA CORE - This course is scheduled over eight weeks and includes topics of guidance, professionalism, inclusion,and communicating with families. This course requires a 90-hour Practicum co-requisite course HEV 0185.
• HEV 0185 - Practicum co-requisite to HEV 0010. Student must be working in a childcare facility or preschool in order to complete the 90 Hours of practicum.

Part II Choose one and the practicum co-requisite course:

• HEV 0013 - Online National Vocational CDA Specializations in Preschool
• HEV 0012 - Online National vocational CDA Specialization in Infant Toddler
• HEV 0011 - Online National vocational CDA Specialization in Family Childcare

These courses are scheduled over 12 weeks and cover curriculum, child development, development of the professional resource file and progress portfolio.

Online courses include discussion boards, assignments, email between students and instructor and chat rooms. The Seminole State network village will facilitate students' involvement in group discussions, and relate all instructional information to the National CDA Functional area requirements for attaining the national CDA.

Seminole State Online program is equivalent to the cost of Seminole State's on site vocational program.
